It appears as if Spy Kids: Mission Critical actor Travis Turner has found himself at the center of controversy. TMZ  caught up with the 30-year-old actor Tuesday night and asked if he’s was worried about receiving any criticism for voicing a black character. The actor boldly replied he feels he’s already super ‘urban’ so there should be no issue. “If they want they can say whatever,” Turner responded. “I actually come from an urban background. I lived in motels. What I’m trying to say, I relate to the urban community.”

Turner doesn’t stop there, as he goes on to further show his “street credibility” by saying he raps alongside artists such as Snopp Dogg, and that he also “sponsors black kids.” Turner then blames social media for the division in the country, citing comedians like Chris Rock who joke about race aren’t even allowed to perform at college campuses anymore.

The Canadian actor who is also known as “Little T” says that if there was someone better suited for the role than essentially, they would have gotten the part. The clip ends with him blessing his audience with some sort of freestyle rap to further solidify his connection with the “urban community.”
